Walton Goggins To Hunt, And Hopefully Kill, Mel Gibson In FATMAN

So, here's the news: according to Deadline, Walton Goggins has joined the cast of Eshom and Ian Nelms' Fatman, a Christmas comedy starring (you guessed it) Mel Gibson as (you guessed it) Santa Claus. Goggins will play Skinnyman, a hitman who gets hired by a 12-year-old boy to take out Ol' Saint Nick after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. Man. Those last two sentences contained a lot of information. Please take a moment to absorb all that we have learned before moving on, should you need to.

Welcome to paragraph two. It is here that we will point out the obvious: Mel Gibson's ongoing return to the silver screen is, to put it mildly, a divisive one, with some folks willing to forgive and forget Gibson's past misdeeds (which, in case you're just joining us, involving doing and/or saying a number of unhinged and astoundingly racist things) and others who no longer wish to see him on screens at the multiplex.
