Alamo-At-Home Brings Back Terror Tuesday And Weird Wednesday!
Saturday, news arrived that Alamo Drafthouse would be partnering with several distributors to bring you Alamo-At-Home, which lets you rent new films through Alamo Drafthouse to watch in the comfort of your own, hopefully virus-free, domicile.
But that’s not all they are up to. Alamo’s Virtual Cinema will also include programming mainstays Terror Tuesday and Weird Wednesday utilizing films from the AGFA vaults. Starting tomorrow at 7pm Central, you will be able to rent this week’s Terror Tuesday entry: CENTIPEDE HORROR, a 1992 Hong Kong film that never got a real home video release in the US. This will be a 2K preservation of the only 35mm print of the film in existence. Tickets are $7.75 on sale here. This gets you not only the film but exclusive pre-show content and introductions similar to what you’d expect at an actual Alamo Drafthouse. Plus, come here after the film and discuss it with me in the comments!
Also, here is a trailer to help entice you:

Next week, Weird Wednesday takes over with a 4K restoration of GODMONSTER OF INDIAN FLATS. I haven’t even heard of this film, but it’s described as “the story of an eight-foot-tall toxic sheep monster that blows up gas stations, smashes crooked politicians and terrorizes stoners” so obviously it is great. That will be Wednesday April 8, but don’t worry, I’ll make sure everyone knows when you can get your tickets. (I am using the word ticket out of a wistful sense of nostalgia.)
Drafthouse is also selling some special t-shirts based on their infamous Angry Voicemail PSA. Check them out:
You can pre-order those here and here. 10% of sales go directly to the Alamo Family Drafthouse Fund.
Finally, if you are missing Alamo Drafthouse food as much as I am, they’ve shared the recipe for their Buffalo Cauliflower snack, with more recipes to come in the future. This one is vegan. Being vegan will not protect you while buying ingredients, so be careful!
That’s a lot of stuff! The primary bit of info right now is CENTIPEDE HORROR, which you can start watching tomorrow evening at 7pm Central. I will be here in the comments to discuss the film with you as if we were all in a real Drafthouse. Yes, I stand by the exit and discuss films with every stranger who walks by. There’s nothing odd about that.
I’ll see you tomorrow!
