If you’re in Los Angeles this weekend I pretty much expect to see you at the Silent Movie Theater at some point. Tonight we’re doing a Marvel Mash-up, presented by Meltdown Comics and Stussy, followed by the fucking splatterific Punisher: War Zone. Sunday we’re showing Superman, Superman II: The Donner Cut and Superman III.

But it’s Saturday that will be magic. An all-day psychotronic tour of the oddest superheroes ever. It starts off with Jerry Beck’s History of the Animated Superhero. Then comes The Return of Captain Invincible, a superhero MUSICAL starring Christopher Lee and Alan Arkin. Director Phillipe Mora will be there! After that is a movie you simply must see at one point in your life, Abar, The First Black Superman - director in person! The centerpiece is Guillermo del Toro’s wonderful Hellboy, with Doug Jones himself at the Q&A. And then the folks from Everything Is Terrible step in and they will be bringing us a mix of some of the craziest, coolest, weirdest, most hilarious superhero shit ever. Expect everything from 3 Dev Adam to the unaired Justice League pilot to SuperPup.
