Listen To The Song That Inspired The FUTURAMA Theme
Although 'inspired' may be putting it too softly.
Pierre Henry is a French pioneer of electronic music. In 1967 he released a song called Psyché Rock, which became the inspiration for the Futurama theme song by Christopher Tyng. I've always known that - it's mentioned on the Futurama DVD commentaries, I believe - but I never actually heard Psyché Rock until now, and I see that inspiration doesn't really cover the extent of how much of Psyché Rock is in the theme.
