Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis Offered Roles In Wachowskis’ JUPITER ASCENDING
Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum continue their unabated campaign to star in every movie of the 20teens with the Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending. Warner Bros. offered the lead roles to the two stars for the science fiction film, the plot of which is being kept super top secret. Jupiter Ascending will be the Wachowskis' return to the sci-fi action genre from which they have remained conspicuously absent since The Matrix trilogy. Their upcoming adaptation of the nigh unfilmmable Cloud Atlas will probably have some science fiction elements (David Mitchell's book does), but it doesn't appear to be an action thriller. Or, if it is, it's seriously departing from the source material.
Jupiter Ascending will also be the Wachowskis' first entirely original production since The Matrix films, having adapted the Speed Racer animated series and Mitchell's novel in the meantime. I'm definitely curious about the flick and I dig the casting; I'm perfectly okay with the mesmerizing and legitimately talented Tatum and Kunis popping up all over the place right now. What say you?
