Spike Lee’s OLDBOY Remake Gets A Weird One Sheet

This is a strange poster. In it, we see a mean and pissed off John Brolin emerging from a trunk in the middle of some field. The people who put him there were nice enough to give him some sunglasses. There's also a lady in the background with a tally-marked umbrella.

The image is sort of refreshing because it's so different from the kind of posters we are used to. But there's also something goofy about the execution. I think I love it.

Supposedly, a trailer for Spike Lee's very curious remake of the Korean classic will be hitting this Wednesday. Maybe we will know more about what's in store then. Or maybe we will just be even more confused. Either way, this feels more like an exciting event than a lamentable blight. Even if it turns out truly awful, the chances that it will be boring seem slim.
