The LEGEND OF HERCULES Trailer Gives You One More Chance To Like It

If this doesn't work, Herc's going home in a pouty huff.

There's always hope that this Hercules movie will provide an ugly, violent Olympus Has Fallen to Brett Ratner's upcoming White House Down version of the character. But even though this film came from an actual Olympus Has Fallen producer, I'm losing that hope with every frame I see.

This trailer begins with shots of Hercules as a pit fighter named Redundulus Maximus. He then takes a Julie Taymor dive off a waterfall. After that he… I might as well stop there. Scott Adkins shows up with a beard and Hercules find himself with the power to wield some kind of dumb lightening whip.

I think most of this was covered in the first trailer, which makes me wonder how much interesting stuff the film really has to offer. If they're going to go Young Adult with the God stuff, I wish they'd at least go all-out. I also wish they hired an actor I could pick out of a lunkhead lineup. Like Scott Adkins!

Hercules the Disgrunted Gladiator in Love comes out January 10.
