Jeffrey Wright And Rodrigo Santoro Added To HBO’s WESTWORLD
We already knew Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood were going to appear in HBO’s upcoming Westworld series. We were satisfied with that. When you have Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood, there really is no reason to hire more actors. You already have an embarrassment of riches. But those HBO hit makers, they just don’t know when to quit loving us.
So they hired more people. One of them is Rodrigo Santoro. He played Xerxes in the 300 movies and both Nikki and Paulo on Lost. The other is Jeffrey Wright, an actor who always kicks a ton of ass, even in the worst, most awful stuff.
Santoro will play a guy named Harlan Bell, a “terrifying and brutal” bandit who I guess stalks around Westworld being a tough guy. Wright will play Bernard Lowe, the person who creates all these robots.
They also hired Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Angela Sarafyan, and Simon Quarterman. I am excited about these people as well. I am.
Westworld is all about a cool western-themed amusement park filled with robot cowboys. One day all the robot cowboys start killing all the non-robot people. It was a 1973 Michael Crichton movie. Now it is a TV show. I’m pretty excited to see it.
