JUNGLE BOOK Writer To Script TOP GUN 2: THE SKY BOOK
In my endless journey to for some reason cover all things Jungle Book even though I really care about very few things Jungle Book, I really do try to keep no stone unturned, and I suppose that includes items that involve the writer of Jungle Book (the movie, not the book).
With that in mind, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Justin Marks, writer of Jungle Book, is in negotiations to write Top Gun 2, which is still happening. Marks also wrote Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Most movies he gets attached to never get made, movies like that Green Arrow Supermax movie, for instance.
Top Gun 2 is probably going to get made, though. Tom Cruise is still set to return. The film is supposedly going to make a case for good, old fashioned human flying in the face of drone warfare and stuff like that.
I’ve never been a Top Gun guy, so the idea of a sequel doesn’t really do much for me. What do you guys think? Do you want to see an older Maverick flying to Kenny Loggins again?
