CINDERELLA Trailer Recuts Entire Movie Into 2 Minutes, 30 Seconds
Ever since I first saw footage from Disney's live action Cinderella I have wondered: how will they make a feature film out of this story? The 1950 cartoon classic runs a brisk as hell 75 minutes, and that already feels stretched out. This trailer, clocking in at two and a half minutes, does a pretty decent job of telling the entire story in a satisfactory way - what will Kenneth Branagh do with his remaining eight-eight to a hundred and eighteen minutes?
The fact that this trailer shows everything is very interesting as well. I mean, who doesn't know the story of Cinderella? It's pretty simple. But the trailer gives us many of the biggest bits, like the transformation of the mice and the mad dash home as the clock tolls midnight. Will there be surprises in this movie - things they're hiding from us? - or is this what we're getting? The presence of small armies at the end of this trailer make me think maybe it'll end with a "To Be Continued In Cinderella: Battle of the Two Armies" title card.
