Relax, The Teaser Trailer For ZOOLANDER 2 Is Here

I suspect it's no longer cool to be a fan of Ben Stiller's Zoolander, and if that's the case, well, I dislike people even more than I thought I did. Zoolander was funny as hell when it arrived in 2001, and it's funny as hell now (I just rewatched the film like two weeks ago, so I'm speaking with authority on this point). Maybe it didn't yield quite as many catchphrases as Anchorman, and maybe it didn't have the cultural impact of Borat or destroy the box office like The Hangover did, but I'd surely rank it amongst those comedies. If anything, it feels underloved.

All of which is to say: I'm happy that we're getting a Zoolander 2. Yes, it may very well be more of the same. Yes, as our own Film Crit Hulk once pointed out, comedy sequels rarely work. Yes, I'm aware that Justin Bieber is in the film. I do not care. I will be there for Zoolander 2 on opening day, orange-mocha frappucino in hand, and I will hope for the best.
