Kevin Costner Could Kick Liam Neeson’s Ass In This CRIMINAL Trailer

Generic name aside, this could be something.

You see old Kevin Costner in an April release with a boring name like Criminal, it’s understandable you’d assume the worst - that it’s yet another Taken clone starring a past-his-prime actor mumbling through some lame PG-13 action. Based on this trailer, however, I’m not so sure that’s what Criminal has to offer:

First off, the cast to this looks great. In addition to Costner, we have Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Michael Pitt, Gal Gadot, Alice Eve, Ryan Reynolds, and, yep, Scott Fucking Adkins.

Then there’s the weird plot. Costner’s a mean psychopath. CIA guys put the memories of a nice spy into his head so he can give them special information. I love how casually crazy and stupid that is.

So forgive me if I get a little excited about this one. I think it’s kind of a bummer that the plot turns Costner from a badass to a pussycat, but I believe it could be worth seeing nevertheless.
