DAVID BRENT: LIFE ON THE ROAD Trailer Puts Discomfort Center Stage

The worst boss in the world is back.

The first-ever trailer for David Brent: Life On The Road has arrived, and - for better or for worse - it's pretty much exactly what you'd expect.

Let's take a look.

As you can see, Ricky Gervais' The Office character is now on the road with his band (looks like they may go through a few name-changes during the film; I'm hoping they stick with Foregone Conclusion), and he's as awkward an irritating as ever.

Look, I loved the original run of The Office - it was, like many of you, my introduction to Gervais as a performer - but I'll admit to finding Gervais harder to love as the years go by. Will my love for this character/The Office be able to trump my annoyance with Gervais' pervasive social media presence (he's an Atheist, in case you hadn't heard)? We'll find out soon enough: Netflix has picked up worldwide distribution rights to the film, and it'll arrive there sometime after the film hits theaters in the UK and Ireland.

There's no doubt in my mind that I'll watch David Brent: Life On The Road, but I don't know that you could say I'm looking forward to it. What do you guys think?
