Dan Aykroyd Just Dropped The Mic On The GhostBros

In a new interview with ET Canada, Dan Aykroyd has some scorched-earth Real Talk™ for the GhostBros.

It is magnificent.

The smackdown starts with Aykroyd sticking up for Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones, who was the target of a brutal (and wildly racist) harassment campaign on Twitter over the weekend. Says Aykroyd:

"Well first of all she’s a great writer, great comedian and comes from a real urban background where she had a lot of hardship and she’s channelling that into a great achievement and a great career."

And then he targets the GhostBros:

“These people, first of all, they’re insignificant gnats. They’re losers, they have no lives of their own, they can probably barely pay for the wifi they’re using. I would say you’re looking at obese white men between 50 and 60 who are active Klan members, or members of the Aryan Nation, and there are millions of them." 

You can see Aykroyd dropping these bombs for yourself in this video, and I highly recommend it. Ya boi is not fucking around.

And good for him! It's great to see Aykroyd sticking up for Jones, not only because it's the right thing to do, but also because I imagine that getting dropkicked in the teeth by the co-creator of the original Ghostbusters must carry an extra sting for GhostBros, who allegedly value the sanctity, honor and respect of the '84 Ghostbusters above all else.
