Javier Bardem Sets Sail In A New Image From PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5

Yo ho ho and a bottle of whatever's going on here.

For whatever reason, USA Today ("The Most Respected Newspaper In The World", according to last year's Popstar) decided to drop their 2017 movie preview on us on a Sunday afternoon. Sundays are for drinking, USA Today, not for writing up movie stills!

And yet, here we are. First we got a new look at Zack Snyder's Justice League. Then we got a very curious look at Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight. Now we're back for a third go 'round with a new image from Disney's forthcoming Pirates Of The Caribeean: Dead Men Tell No Tales., the fifth installment in their inexplicably long-running Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.

Let's gawk at it.

So, as you can see, that's Javier Bardem (Skyfall, The Counselor) as the villainous Captain Salazar, piloting god-knows-what-ship to god-knows-where. I'm honestly not sure if he's a ghost or a serpent-man or a squid-person or a zombie-pirate or what, but I'm sure that'll all get sorted soon enough. All I know about Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 is that it revolves around Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp, of Tusk and Yoga Hosers) on what I assume will be a hijinks-filled quest to hunt down the lost trident of Poseidon.

What do you guys think? Dig Bardem's look? Not so much? Excited for a fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for updates on this one as they come our way.
