Sam Raimi May Direct A Movie About The Bermuda Triangle

There's probably aliens or sea monsters or Atlantis in it or something.

According to a new report over at Variety, Evil Dead mastermind Sam Raimi is in talks to produce (and possibly direct) a new movie about Unsolved Mysteries mainstay the Bermuda Triangle, the cursed stretch of ocean where countless ships, sailors and aircraft have gone missing over the years.

Variety describes the project thusly:

Plot details are being kept under wraps, except for the fact that it will be set in the mysterious patch of the Caribbean where planes and ships have gone missing over the years.

Alright, well, since no further details are forthcoming, I decided to put on my Big Boy Journalist pants and do a little Bermuda Triangle research on YouTube. One video ("7 Strange and Mysterious facts about the Bermuda Triangle") presented a wealth of possibilities for a Bermuda Triangle movie, some of which I will share with you now.

As you can see, there's plenty of raw material here for a compelling Bermuda Triangle movie. Of course we have no way of knowing whether or not Sam Raimi has seen this explosive and thought-provoking clip, but here's hoping that he and the people at Skydance (who will distribute the film) have done their research. Really shocking stuff here.
