New BAYWATCH Trailer Features Gorgeous People Doing Wacky Things

They're trying really hard to sell us on this, folks.

As you may have inferred from the headline, a new trailer for Baywatch has arrived. As you may have also inferred from the headline, we are quickly running out of clever things to say about Seth Gordon's upcoming comedy. Baywatch looks like it's going to do exactly what it says on the tin.

Take a look:

My math could by wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the 34th Baywatch trailer I've written up (note: please do not fact-check this), and my opinion has not changed much over the course of said writings: the people involved are all likable and heavily-oiled and appear to be trying their damndest to make this work, but the strongest reaction I've had to any of these trailers has been a sensible chuckle.

Here's a plot synopsis, which perfectly conveys the "Meh, okay, I guess so" tone I'm getting from the trailers:

BAYWATCH follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

I just want Baywatch to come out so I can quit writing up the trailers. Relief arrives on May 26th.
