What If - Hold On, Let Me Finish - Han Is Somehow In FAST & FURIOUS 9?

If there’s a will, there’s a way.

This is on the verge of irresponsible speculation. But I like living on the edge. And since The Fate of the Furious is coming out later this month, that basically makes it old news already. Get with the times! We’re all about Fast and the Furious 9 now.

The fine folks at /Film have an interview coming from Fast and Furious series writer Chris Morgan. That full interview has not been published yet, but they did release this brief snippet:

Are we ever going to loop back around in the timeline and see Han again?

Chris Morgan: “Now, that’s funny because I’ve actually been thinking about that a lot. So it’s interesting that you and I are on the same wavelength there. But I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out. I love Sung – he’s one of my favorite people on the planet.”

As I’m sure readers of this site already know, Han was a Tokyo Drift character who proved so popular, they made the next three films prequels to the main timeline just so we could get more Han action before his inevitable death.

Would they be willing to do something like that again (I have no idea how)? Or will they try to pull some “Han never died” malarky on us? Will any of us even care if the “how” or “why” of Han’s return is total bullshit? I mean, it is the Fast and Furious series, after all.

And let’s be clear. This currently means nothing. It’s just a screenwriter/producer being cheeky. Don’t take this as any kind of fact; we’re all just having fun here. But for real, people would lose their shit.
