Jude Law Will Be Young Dumbledore In FANTASTIC BEASTS Sequel

For everyone who saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and wondered what it would take to get you excited for another entry, this right here might do the trick.

Variety reports that the Young Pope will play the Young Dumbledore in the next entry of the Harry Potter prequel series. Jude Law, surely with a big bushy beard, will play the famous and celebrated wizard.

The bad news is this will continue the rather lackluster story arc shoehorned into the first Fantastic Beasts. Eddie Redmayne is coming back to do who knows what, and Johnny Depp will also return to do even more evil who knows what. On the other hand, watching Jude Law wand fight might be something special.

As you can probably tell, I’m not big on this series. But I do have to admit this casting sparks my interest a bit. Will we get youngster versions of other Harry Potter characters as well? I’d bet on it.
