Rumor: Thanos’ INFINITY WAR Minions Just Got Interesting

Some big changes to flesh out the Mad Titan.

Thanos hasn’t really done much in the MCU. The only time he felt like a real person was in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a movie in which he didn’t even appear, but it seems like Infinity War will take a page out of that film’s book. Instead of more faceless hoards, the Avengers will likely face characters with a direct connection to Josh Brolin’s purple Eternal.

Potential (minor) spoilers to follow.

The initial villains in Avengers: Infinity War have long been thought to be The Black Order, a quintet of merciless henchmen Thanos sends to Earth to collect the Infinity Gems in the New Avengers and Infinity storylines. Motion Capture veteran Terry Notary (Rocket in the new Planet of the Apes films) has already been spotted on set sporting a spear similar to Black Order leader Corvus Glaive, so we pretty much figured the Order would show up in some form. What we didn’t figure however, according to the good folks at MCU Exchange, was that this version of the Black Order might also be Thanos’ children.

Nebula references her other siblings in Guardians of the Galaxy, and after learning of the full scale of the abuse she and Gamora suffered, it’s scary to imagine what remains of her brothers and sisters who didn’t or couldn’t rebel against the Mad Titan. They all sounds like villains too – Glaive, Black Dwarf, Ebony Maw, Supergiant, and my personal favourite, Proxima Midnight – and it’s probably safe to assume we’ll see most of them show up come May 2018.
