Tim Roth And Christina Hendricks Go Canadian Noir In TIN STAR

Take a look at the series coming to Amazon Prime.

The 10-part murder mystery Tin Star will hit Sky Atlantic in the UK next week, and the States will get it this fall on Amazon Prime. I've seen bits and pieces here and there and I'm intrigued. The plot:

Set in the majestic Canadian Rockies, Tin Star tells the story of a former British detective who brings his family to the tiny, tranquil town of Little Big Bear for a better life. But when his small town is overrun by migrant workers from a massive new oil refinery, the wave of organized crime that follows them threatens to sweep away everything in its wake and dig up the past.

And here's the trailer.

Something about this fish out of water, noirish murder plot set in chilly Canada is just working on me. It doesn't hurt that this has those prestige TV, Night Manager vibes that I dig. It also promises Tim Roth not hiding his accent and Christina Hendricks on my TV, which is never not a good thing. Thoughts?

Tin Star streams on September 29th.
