Sounds Like Burt Reynolds Is Joining Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD

Here's an exciting bit of news, via Deadline:

"Quentin Tarantino is expanding the cast of his upcoming film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. He is in talks with Burt Reynolds to play George Spahn, and also in early discussions with his The Hateful Eight co-stars Tim Roth, Kurt Russell and Michael Madsen to play smaller roles in the film. They would join Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, who are already set."

For those not readily familiar with the Manson Family saga, George Spahn was the owner of the ranch that served as the homebase of Charles Manson and his cohorts. Spahn managed to survive the Manson Family's reign of terror, but served as an interesting side character in their story: he apparently gave the Manson Family's ladies all of their nicknames (so we have him to blame for "Squeaky Fromme"), and also allegedly relied upon many of them to serve as his seeing-eye guides (even then, George Spahn was old af).

But nevermind all that now: the really exciting part about all this is the prospect of seeing Burt Reynolds, in what must be the last stages of his career, signing up to appear in a Quentin Tarantino film; Burt may yet have one, last iconic character to give us. We are, of course, also excited to learn that Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Kurt Russell are going to be involved, but let's be honest - we halfway expected them to show up, anyway.
