LETHAL WEAPON 5 Actually Being Considered
Just how old IS "too old for this shit"?
Today Deadline is out here trying to tell us that Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Richard Donner are all in talks for a potential Lethal Weapon 5. We shit you not.
These early discussions have Gibson, who is a 61-year-old man, and Glover, ten years his senior, returning via a script by Channing Gibson (no relation; writer of Lethal Weapon 4). Donner, who will turn 88 years of age next April, would be directing for the first time since 2006's 16 Blocks.
I don't know, guys. I mean, I guess? At some point in the past ten or fifteen years, this prospect tipped from unlikely/bad idea to one that fills us with "opening day ticket sold" levels of morbid curiosity. So sure, go for it, fellas. Try not to sprain anything.
