Here’s Your First Look At Bruce Willis In THE BOMBING

Bonus: you'll never guess who's art directing this movie.

Over at The Hollywood Reporter, the very first image from Xiao Feng's The Bombing has just been released. The photo itself, which you can see in full below, isn't all that interesting - it's just Bruce Willis looking grumpy in front of a group of Chinese soldiers - but the project itself has some interesting elements attached.

Let's take another look at that photo first...

Alright. And what's The Bombing about? According to THR...

"The action-drama is based on the infamous attacks on Chongqing during WWII, which included a total of 268 air raids from 1938 to 1943. Willis stars as U.S. Air Force Commander Jack Johnson who trains the Chinese people under harrowing conditions to battle against the Japanese and leads his own aviation squadron against the trained Japanese Air Force."

OK, so it's a WWII drama starring Bruce Willis. Sounds alright, and that's not so strange. What is strange is that The Bombing's art director is none other than Mel Gibson, recent Academy Award-nominated director and star of the forthcoming Daddy's Home 2. Yeah, we don't know what to make of that, either.

Anyway, Blue Box International is looking to sell the rights to The Bombing at AFM. That's about all we know for the time being, so stay tuned for further updates as they roll in.
