Jordan Peele’s Production Company Is Working On A TWILIGHT ZONE Reboot

Are you ready to go back to the Zone?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS All Access is working on a new version of The Twilight Zone, to be shepherded to the screen by Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw banner. Marco Ramirez, who previously worked on Netflix's Daredevil and Sons Of Anarchy) is onboard to write the script and serve as showrunner.

THR clarifies that it's as-yet-unclear whether or not this new iteration of The Twilight Zone has been ordered straight to series or if it's simply in development, but let's not let that pesky little fact get in the way of my overwhelming excitement that The Twilight Zone may be returning to television courtesy of Jordan Peele's production company. My head exploded while reading this news.

I have long maintained that we are overdue for a Twilight Zone reboot, and nothing would please me more than to see it resurrected in all its creepy, twisty, allegorical glory for the modern age. I suppose one could say that Black Mirror is the obvious successor to the Twilight Zone throne (I know, as I've said this myself on more than one occasion), but nevermind that. There's room for both, right?

Rest assured, I will be monitoring this situation very closely and delivering updates to you, the gentle BMD readers of the world, as often as I can get my hands on them. While we're waiting on the next one to arrive: who would you like to see host the new Zone? What's your favorite episode from the original run? Sound off in the comments below.
