Michelle Williams To Potentially Reunite With Jake Gyllenhaal In LET IT FALL BACK

Oh, a certain Cumberbatch will be there, too.

It's been over a decade since Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Williams were both in love with a stoic Heath Ledger in Ang Lee's groundbreaking gay drama Brokeback Mountain  - a movie that grabbed ahold of the zeitgeist and taught us that two cowboys could fall in love. Now, Williams is in talks to reunite with Gyllenhaal in Let It Fall Back (formerly known as Rio) - a twisty thriller that will send both to South America.

Let It Fall Back follows a financial reporter (Gyllenhaal) who travels to Rio de Janeiro to visit a wealthy friend (Cumberbatch), only to get sucked into a plot to fake his friend’s death. Williams’ role is reportedly being kept under wraps.

Let It Fall Back is the next film from Luca Guadagnino, whose current rate of production is becoming intimidating. Following this year's critical darling Call Me By Your Name (which both Meredith and Sid totally adored), he's said that his Suspiria remake is only a few months from being in the can, and then will be jumping directly to this star-studded affair. By all accounts, the man has yet to make a movie that's less than stunning, so let's hope he keeps the quality in line with the tremendous output.
