Barry Jenkins To Fly The Unfriendly Skies With Chadwick Boseman In EXPATRIATE

Barry Jenkins already has his follow-up to Moonlight - the James Baldwin adaptation If Beale Street Could Talk - wrapped and ready to cut in post. But the Oscar winner isn't wasting any time lining up a project to roll on immediately after that. 

Co-written by and starring Chadwick Boseman (of Marvel's upcoming Black Panther), Expatriate is said to revolve around a '70s plane hijacking. Details about the picture are sparse at the moment, but it's safe to say we'll be keeping an eye on it, especially once If Beale Street Could Talk starts getting out into the world. 

Jenkins is one of the most exciting filmmakers working right now, as Moonlight is one of the era's defining masterpieces. Here's hoping he and Boseman are cooking up something truly thrilling with Expatriate; it'd be a hoot to see what the director could do with a genre project. Hopefully he brings cinematographer James Laxton along with him - it'll be a blast to see how his camera glides through a thriller scenario.
