SDCC 2019: The Russo Brothers Unveil A New 21 BRIDGES Trailer

Chadwick Boseman is shutting Manhattan DOWN.

Joe and Anthony Russo's SDCC panel really didn't disappoint: After revealing plans to adapt a pair of comic book properties, discussing Avengers: Endgame (and what Cap did after putting all those stones back), and fielding some questions, the duo unveiled a new trailer for 21 Bridges – the upcoming action-thriller they produced starring Black Panther's Chadwick Boseman. You can check it out with your own eyeballs right here:

In the film, Boseman plays a tough NYPD detective who has no choice but to shut down all of Manhattan – hence the 21 bridges bit – in order to catch a couple of dirty, no-good cop killers. Conspiracies, action, and twists and turns abound in the film directed by Brian Kirk and co-starring Sienna Miller, J.K. Simmons, Stephan James, Keith David, and Taylor Kitsch. That's a damn fine cast. Here's the official synopsis for 21 Bridges, which hits theaters on September 27:

21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.
