Emily Blunt Is Taking A JUNGLE CRUISE With The Rock

In which Disney's next movie-based-on-a-ride gets another exciting cast member.

Last April, The Rock officially signed on to headline Disney's forthcoming Jungle Cruise movie, and today he's finally been joined by a co-star: according to Deadline, Sicario star Emily Blunt has just climbed aboard Disney's latest theme-park-ride adaptation, with Jaume Collet-Serra in the director's chair.

Here's another interesting tidbit: Jungle Cruise's script was written by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, with a recent rewrite by Blade Runner 2049 and Alien: Covenant scribe Michael Green (who, it's worth pointing out, just received an Oscar nomination for his Logan screenplay). BMD is very much a pro-Michael Green household, so that's very exciting news, indeed.

We don't know anything yet in regards to the film's plot, but we're very curious to learn more (especially given the talent this project is lining up). Stay tuned for more on Jungle Cruise as it becomes available.
