The First Clip From Steven Soderbergh’s UNSANE Has Arrived

Who wouldn't want to spend the night in a mental institution?

Steven Soderbergh's Unsane was a surprise to all of us when it was announced a few months back - Soderbergh shot a horror movie? In secret? And he did in on an iPhone? - but now, as we close in on the film's March 23rd release date, the picture of what Unsane is is starting to become a lot clearer.

Here, take a look at the film's first clip:

Starring Claire Foy, Juno Temple, Joshua Leonard, Jay Pharoah (!!!!) and Amy Irving, Unsane looks like a few other psychological thrillers we can recall, but we suspect there's more going on here than meets the eye.

Here's the official plot synopsis:

"A young woman leaves her hometown to escape a troubled past and begin a new job. When she is involuntarily committed to a mental institution she is confronted by her greatest fear – but is it real or just her delusion? With seemingly no-one ready to believe her and the authorities unable or unwilling to help, she must confront her fears head on. With twisting perspectives and a shocking narrative, Unsane asks questions about our perception of reality, our survival instinct and the system that is supposed to take care of us."

Unsane will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival this month (the spoilerphobic among you will want to avoid that first round of reviews) before opening everywhere on March 23rd. You folks as hyped for this one as we are? Sound off below.
