Trailer For THE RANGER Welcomes You To A Woodsy Death

The SXSW Midnighter sees some punks fight the wilderness law (and the law, of course, wins).

You'd think - after years and years of horror movies - that white people would just stop going into the woods. However, that's not the case, as Jenn Wexler's The Ranger looks likely to prove. Following a bunch of punks who get caught in a life and death battle with a psycho park official, The Ranger makes it seem like even the wilderness authorities are not to be trusted.

Now there's a trailer for the film, dropping just hours before the picture's World Premiere at SXSW. What starts out as an inviting PSA ends in bloodshed, distortion and horror.

Hell yeah. I am totally in for some old school slasher action. Marisa's taking this one after the premiere, but I might be popping my head in, just to give it a look-see. The film doesn't have official distribution as of yet, but if it kills tonight, expect that to change very soon.
