Key & Peele Reuniting For New Animated Film From CORALINE’s Henry Selick

Very exciting news: according to Deadline, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are reuniting for Wendell And Wild, a brand-new stop-motion animated feature to be directed by Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas' Henry Selick. For the most part, plot details are currently being kept under wraps, but Deadline does specify that the pair will be playing "two scheming demon brothers", which leads us to believe this project will be right in line with the rest of Selick's filmography.

Also worth noting: Wendell And Wild is going straight to Netflix (on the one hand, we suppose that's good for Selick if he wishes to avoid pesky studio notes; on the other hand, this may mean we won't be seeing a new Selick joint on the big screen, which feels flat-out inappropriate). This will actually end up being the streaming giant's second foray into the stop-motion world, following the already-in-production Bubbles, which is being co-directed by Thor: Ragnarok's Taika Waititi.

Nothing further to report at this time, but we're very curious to learn more about Wendell And Wild, not to mention hyped to learn that Key and Peele are collaborating again after their long-running Comedy Central series and 2016's Keanu. We'll keep you informed as further updates roll in.
