Ridley Scott In Talks For Spy Comic Adaptation QUEEN AND COUNTRY

Well THIS could be very interesting, indeed.

According to The Wrap, Sir Ridley Scott may have finally chosen a project to join the seventeen dozen other projects Ridley Scott currently has in the works: this time it's an adaptation of Greg Rucka's award-winning comic book series, Queen And Country

What's Queen And Country, you ask? The Wrap describes it as:

"Set in the fictional British Secret Intelligence Service, Queen and Country centers on an operative named Tara Chace, a top British intelligence agent who is used as bait to draw out an international terrorist after an attack in London."

This series (which ran from 2001 through 2007, picking up an Eisner Award along the way) was almost adapted once before, back in 2007, with Ellen Page attached to star as Chace. The Wrap says there's no indication that Page is still involved with the production, but let the record show that we would be very much onboard with that particular bit of casting (read: we very desperately would like to see Ellen Page kicking almighty ass in a Ridley Scott movie).

Nothing's set in stone as of yet, but look for the pieces to start falling into place once Scott signs on the line which is dotted. Until then: any of you folks read this series? Something we need to hop on before the movie arrives, or can it wait until after? We haven't even had a chance to start Bloodshot yet smdh.
