Liam Neeson doesn’t just kick ass while holding cell phones, guys. He can also play dramatic characters you can believe in (who sometimes fight wolves). Leslie Manville can also kick ass while holding cell phones, and I can’t wait until a movie proves it.

Until then, however, we have Normal People, which sadly is not a sequel to the hit ‘80s comedy Ordinary People. The indie film will be directed by Lisa Barros D’sa and Glenn Leyburn from a screenplay by Irish playwright Owen McCafferty. It is about a husband and wife who have to deal with some serious shit when the wife gets cancer.

Okay, that doesn’t sound like much fun, but it will be amazing to see Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville share the screen together in this context. Bring your tissues. No rush, though. This hasn’t even started filming yet.
