War Never Changes: Bethesda Announces FALLOUT 76
After teasing us with a "Please Stand By" message yesterday, Bethesda just made it official: another Fallout game is en route.
According to the good folks over at Kotaku, Fallout 76 is currently in development at both Bethesda's main office, in Maryland, and right here in Austin, TX, via the folks at Battlecry Studios (hello, Battlecry, please invite me over). We know absolutely nothing else about the game at this time, but we do have a snazzy new teaser trailer to look at.
Check it out:
Speaking as a die-hard Fallout fan, this is exceptionally exciting news. I immediately have a million questions. For instance: why is this trailer so Vault-centric? Where exactly does Fallout 76 take place (is "Country Roads" an indication that this one'll be set in the forests and mountains of West Virginia)? Was that Ron Perlman doing the voice over there at the end? Why is Vault 76 empty? That hand-made stitching on the Vault Dweller's uniform - is that a clue as to the kind of customization we'll see in the game? I could go on, but you get the gist.
At any rate, we'll learn more during Bethesda's E3 presentation, which'll be happening on June 10th. Stay tuned, Fallout fans. Whatever this turns out to be, we're fucking hyped about it.
