Looks Like WONDER WOMAN 2 is Headed For The ‘80s

We're into it.

So, here's an interesting note to end the week on: DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns just posted the following image to Facebook:

A while back, word circulated that Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2 (or whatever it ends up being called) would take place during the '80s, and if this image is to be taken at face value, it certainly seems like that's gonna turn out to be the case. Of course, Johns could be teasing a Wonder Woman/George Orwell crossover, but we find that highly unlikely.

As you probably already know, Wonder Woman 2 will feature Gal Gadot taking on Kristen Wiig's Cheetah. Setting the film in the Me Decade (again, assuming our assumptions regarding Johns' image are correct) gives us an idea what this movie's gonna look like: we should probably expect a lot of big hair, shoulder pads, neon-colored blouses, and maybe even a few pairs of acid-wash jeans. We doubt Wonder Woman herself will appear in any of this attire.

Anyway, this is a curious development! The original Wonder Woman took place in 1917; advancing the story by nearly seven decades is quite the leap. We're certainly interested, but this definitely isn't what we expected. What do you folks make of all this? Sound off in the comments below!
