Be Careful, Management’s Watching: Here’s The Teaser For BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE

Drew Goddard's latest looks like a paranoid, noirish companion piece to CABIN IN THE WOODS, and good God we want that right now.

I'm not gonna lie: I heard Drew Goddard was simply making another movie after his all-timer meta horror picture, Cabin In the Woods, and that's really all I needed to know. Cabin's a straight-up classic, and Goddard showed off the chops of a seasoned pro in it. Anything he stepped behind the camera for next was an automatic "hell yes" from me.

But then Fox just released this kick-ass trailer for Bad Times At the El Royale, and I would probably skip my mother's funeral now to see this for the first time. I mean - on top of a cast that includes Jon Hamm, Chris Hemsworth (dancing!), Dakota Johnson, Jeff Bridges, and Nick Offerman - the visual style of this paranoid noirish crime riff looks completely off the chain.

Check it out:

Absolutely, yes. Without a doubt. Give me this movie before all other movies.

The official synopsis for Bad Times is sparse as hell, and I'm glad. This looks like a "less is more" situation in terms of what I need before sitting down with Goddard's next:

Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe's El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption - before everything goes to hell.

Sure, whatever. Can we speed up the clock now so October 5th gets here tonight? That'd be great, God.
