The New HELLBOY Just Got Delayed By Three Months

We'll be waiting a bit longer for Big Red's comeback.

We're all very excited to see what Neil Marshall's done with Hellboy: Rise of The Blood Queen, but it sounds like we're gonna be waiting a bit longer than expected to see the results. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hellboy's release date has been pushed back three months, from January 11th to April 12th.

Of course there's no word as to why the film's been rescheduled. Could be they need more time for VFX shots. Could be they need to do some reshoots and people aren't immediately available. Could be the person responsible for this decision didn't realize that Warner Bros. is releasing Shazam! the week before. We simply don't know.

But, hey, what's another three months? We're intrigued to see Marshall's take on this property, and doubly intrigued to see what Stranger Things' David Harbour's done with the titular character. Word on the street suggests this Hellboy will be gnarlier than anything we saw in Guillermo Del Toro's two Hellboy movies, and we're willing to give everyone involved the time they need to deliver on that front.

Stay tuned for more on Hellboy: Rise of The Blood Queen as further updates become available.
