It’s Starting To Seem Like Werner Herzog Might Be In That STAR WARS TV Show

We'll allow it.

Last month, living legend, national treasure and all-around GOAT Werner Herzog revealed that he'd soon be filming a role in a forthcoming "big franchise film", one which would apparently be shooting under the code name Huckleberry. At the time, we weren't quite sure what to make of this, and rattled off a number of guesses as to what film it might be. We did not guess that it might be Star Wars-related.

Well, guess what? It's looking like this might be Star Wars-related. Specifically, it's looking like Herzog might be appearing in Disney's forthcoming Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian (in case you missed it, here's Andrew with further information on that show).

We know, we know - The Mandalorian is not a "franchise film", but the circumstantial evidence is hard to argue with. For one thing, that series is shooting even as we speak, so the timing makes sense. For another, the folks over at Making Star Wars (via The AV Club) got their hands on a number of behind-the-scenes images showing Mandalorian crew members wearing badges reading "Huckleberry".

Obviously, nothing's been confirmed as of yet, but we're compelled by those photos, and would be thrilled if Herzog were to actually pop up in this series. How 'bout you folks? Into it, or not so much? Sound off below, and stay tuned for further updates on The Mandalorian as they become available.
