PSA: Trent Reznor And Atticus Ross’ HALLOWEEN Theme Is Now Available On Vinyl

Just over a year ago, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross dropped quite the surprise in our laps: a brand-new, seven-minute-plus cover of John Carpenter's classic Halloween theme. Given what fans we are of everyone involved, you won't be surprised to learn that we lost our shit when it happened.

At the time, Reznor said:

“I CLEARLY REMEMBER MY FRIENDS AND I AT 13 YEARS OLD CONNING OUR PARENTS INTO LETTING US SEE HALLOWEEN WHEN IT CAME OUT IN 1978. WE LEFT THE THEATER FOREVER CHANGED. WE WERE DAMAGED AND SCARRED, WITH THE SHIT GENUINELY SCARED OUT OF US AND THAT THEME STUCK FIRMLY IN OUR HEADS. JOHN CARPENTER, IT’S YOUR FAULT THAT I TURNED OUT THE WAY I DID.”

Now, Reznor and Ross have delivered another surprise: for the first time, they've made their cover of Carpenter's Halloween theme available on vinyl. You can pre-order it right now on Nine Inch Nails' website. On the off-chance that you missed it the first time around, here's how it sounds:

I've had this version of the Halloween theme playing in my car for the past month, so you can bet your sweet candy-ass I'll be picking up my own copy immediately (I am saddened to realize I won't have it in time for this year's blow-out Halloween party, but let's not dwell).

Anyway, we figured y'all would wanna know about this. Head on over to Nine Inch Nails' site to pre-order your copy, and stay tuned for more on Reznor, Ross and Halloween as further updates roll in.
