Adrift & Murderous: This Trailer For SERENITY Is Super Weird

It feels like we've been talking about Serenity for a little while now (or, at least, since the first "murder-by-shark" trailer dropped back in June). A strange, sexy island thriller from Steven Knight (Locke, Eastern Promises) starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jason Clarke sounds right up our alley. Just let us see it, already. 

Well, the movie's original planned release date (October 19th) has come and gone, and now we've got a new trailer, which is promising a sun-soaked Hitchcock riff, along with a January arrival. I guess it'll be fine winter counter-programming for many, as this movie looks very tropical and horrific.

I mean, yeah, we're still in. After eating all our Awards Season vegetables over the Holidays, it'll be nice to have a lurid slice of sweaty pulp to wash them all down with. Plus, Clarke seems to be reveling in wearing those sleazy duds, and we're all about that shit here at BMD.

Guess we'll find out once Serenity hits theaters on January 25th, 2019.
