Trailer For SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY Brings His Stories Into Your Living Room

"My loud and noisy prayer."

That's how Bruce Springsteen describes his now legendary (not to mention lengthy) body of work during his Springsteen on Broadway show. Since October of last year, New Jersey's greatest son has been putting on a one man show (with the help of his lovely wife, singer/songwriter Patti Scialfa on a couple songs) that will end after its 236th performance on December 15th. The day before, a record documenting the intimate concerts (also titled Springsteen on Broadway) will hit shelves, just in time for those of us who've idolized The Boss our entire lives to put on our Christmas lists. 

Now there's a trailer for the show, which has seemingly been transformed into a Jonathan Demme-esque screen showcase (think: more Storefront Hitchcock than Stop Making Sense), where Bruce walks us through his life and work, one song at a time.

Well, I barely made it through that clip without tearing up. Speaking as someone who's seen Springsteen live five times, and counts him as a personal hero, this show became an unattainable Holy Grail of sorts, thanks to living in Texas and ticket prices skyrocketing through the roof almost immediately after its 2017 previews. I'm super happy Netflix is going to be bringing it home, so I can basically put it on in the background while opening presents and cooking Christmas ham.
