Photoshop Contest: We Wanna See YOUR Post-Apocalypse

HIGH LEVEL creator Rob Sheridan is standing by to judge your entries.

As you've probably noticed by now, we're big fans of Vertigo's new comic series, High Level (subscribe at your local comic shop or, if ya nasty, you can get it digitally here). Created and written by former Nine Inch Nails art director Rob Sheridan and gorgeously illustrated by Romulo Fajardo Jr. and Barnaby Bagenda, High Level tells a "post-post-apocalyptic" story containing all the things we tend to love in our end-of-the-world entertainment: epic quests, weirdo technology, sassy dialogue, the dragging of organized religion, and - last, but certainly not least - mutant gang leaders with buzzsaws for hands.

Believe me when I say: this book has everything.

A few weeks back, we were thrilled to reveal several pages from High Level #1, and today we've got another exclusive reveal for you: two unlettered pages from High Level #2. We'll get to the Photoshop Contest in just a minute, but let's first take a look at what our world looks like years from now, in the pages of High Level.

As you can see, America's not looking so hot in Sheridan, Fajardo and Bagenda's world. Our big box stores have been decimated, our landmarks are in a state of collapse. That sounds about right, given how things are going in the Brave Year of Our Lord 2019, but we're curious to see what you folks think the end times are gonna look like.

Which brings us to today's Photoshop Contest: in the comments below, post your vision for the end of the world. Photoshop it, draw it, whatever - as long as it's an image we can lay our eyeballs on, it's fair game. Also fair game: any approach you wanna take. Make your apocalypse funny, weird, violent, awkwardly erotic - we don't care, we just wanna be entertained.

This Contest will remain open through Monday (Feb. 25th) at 4PM CST, at which time Sheridan himself has agreed to select his three favorite entries (of course we've got some cool prizes for those of you who get picked: High Level posters signed by Sheridan)! Those winners will be notified via Disqus, and will then be asked to hit up the BMD inbox to pass along their shipping info. Easy, right?

Get at it, gang. We'll be keeping a close eye on this comments section through the weekend.
