This New ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD Poster Rules
The first few posters for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood were, well, not terribly exciting. You had one featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt and another featuring Margot Robbie, and both of 'em had the feeling of one-sheets which had been created quickly, assembled in a frantic rush by someone who only had on-set stills to work with. They were okay, as far as movie posters go, but were they worthy of a new Quentin Tarantino film? We submit to you that they were not.
This new Once Upon a Time in Hollywood poster, though? This is the good shit.
The above poster was just revealed by the official Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Twitter feed. It's quite a looker, and would seem to be far more representative of the twisty, turn-y, intricately-plotted film Tarantino is reported to have made. There's a madcap, epic feel to this poster that the previous one-sheets simply didn't have. It feels classic. It's colorful. Actual time was spent bringing this poster into the world. We respect it.
And, hey, while we're here: we're only 45 days away from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hitting theaters! We reviewed the film out of Cannes (you can read that here), but in this case "we" means "BMD contributing writer Charles Bramesco". The rest of us probably won't see it until all of y'all do, on July 26th, and we couldn't be more excited for it.
Stay tuned for more on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as further updates become available.
