Paul Rudd Is Joining The GHOSTBUSTERS

Interesting development, via the folks at Variety: living legend, national treasure and Mac and Me star Paul Rudd has entered final negotiations to join the cast of Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters 2020, which is gearing up even as we speak to film later this summer. Details about Rudd's character are being kept under wraps for the moment, but allegedly he'll be playing a teacher.

Oh, and also, now they're calling it Ghostbusters 2020.

How various stars from the original Ghostbusters might be brought back is anyone's guess, but we do know a few of 'em are already onboard.

In addition to Variety's report, the video below also just popped up online:

Nothing further to report at this time, but we remain curious about this entire operation, and look forward to learning more. Please update your casting notes accordingly, and do stay tuned for more on Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters 2020 as further updates become available.
