New MINDHUNTER Trailer Suggests You Don’t Stare At Charles Manson

The second season's almost here. Be prepared.

Well, it's been two years since we all binge-watched and fell in love with Netflix's Mindhunter, but the wait for more episodes is just about over: season two hits the streaming platform next Friday (the 16th), and they've brought back everybody - Anna Torv, Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Cameron Britton (so brilliant as Ed Kemper in S1) and of course executive producer and occasional director David Fincher.

This time the Mindhunter team will investigate the Atlanta Child Murders of the late 1970s, and the process of tackling that case will have them crossing paths with a few new infamous killers ... including Charles Manson, who Ed Kemper shares a word of warning about in the trailer below.

Much of the drama in Mindhunter S1 dealt with Agents Ford and Tench butting heads with a boss who couldn't wrap his head around whatever the hell they were trying to accomplish by talking to serial murderers, but now it appears they're well in the clear, moving into new digs and having their methods adopted as official FBI policy. Good for them!

A season's worth of Mindhunter dealing with a series of racially-charged serial murders feels timely. That they're also bringing Charles Manson into the fold makes it feel even more timely, especially considering that they've hired Damon Herriman, who played Manson in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', to fill the role.

We're excited about Mindhunter's return and are already clearing our schedules for a binge. How 'bout y'all? You folks still into this one? Think you've had enough Manson in your entertainment for the time being? Are you simply happy to see Anna Torv back at the forefront of a badass genre series again? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on Mindhunter S2 as further updates become available.
