DC Anthology Series STRANGE ADVENTURES Is Headed To HBO Max

This one's for the weirdos.

At the HBO Max Media Day presentation, WarnerMedia just announced that Greg Berlanti is working on an anthology series about the DC Universe to be called Strange Adventures.

The series will be an hourlong drama with one new, close-ended story each episode. In the comics, Strange Adventures is a title that DC has employed sporadically since the fifties to denote science-fiction and horror stories that could be told in one or two issues. It definitely tracks that they're breaking this out for this anthology show.

Since Berlanti is producing (along with the new Green Lantern show), this show could be connected to the Arrowverse, but that hasn't been confirmed. I hope not. Even though I generally like the CW shows, I hope Strange Adventures has enough room to play with a different tone and story structure. Maybe something like The Outer Limits but with DC superheroes?

We got nothing else for you in terms of episode count or release date, but we do know that this will be exclusive to HBO Max subscribers whenever it debuts. Stay tuned for more info.
