UPDATED: Martin McDonagh Is Getting The IN BRUGES Band Back Together

Get ready for THE BANSHEES OF INISHEER

It's been three long years since Martin McDonagh's Oscar-winning (and, yes, controversial) Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri hit theaters, and now it appears that our wait for McDonagh's next effort will soon be over. What's more, it will reunite the director with the co-stars of what might be our overall favorite McDonagh film.

Says Deadline:

"Martin McDonagh’s next untitled film...will re-team him with his In Bruges stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, sources said. Film is set on a remote Irish isle and they will play two lifelong friends who find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship with alarming consequences for both of them."

That's right: McDonagh's getting the In Bruges band back together, and we couldn't be more hyped about it. That 2008 film was one of the best of that decade, a darkly funny little crime thriller that spun absolute gold from the chemistry between its two lead actors, and we're very excited to see what their latest collaboration yields. If these guys wanted to make a new movie together every four years, we wouldn't complain.

UPDATE: Per an update at Deadline, the film's title is said to be The Banshees at Inisheer. That's a helluva title and we approve.

Not much further to report at this time, but rest assured we'll be keeping our ear to the ground for updates, and will have those in front of you just as soon as they roll in. Stay tuned.
