The Definitely-Not-Murdered Jeffrey Epstein Is Getting His Own Netflix Doc

The Jeffrey Epstein case represents one of the biggest failures of the American criminal justice system, and the billionaire's, er, highly suspicious suicide in August of last year folds directly into one of the biggest conspiracy theories of the modern era. It's a disturbing, horrifying story. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before it got its very own Netflix documentary. 

Which brings us to the reveal that Netflix will soon drop JEFFREY EPSTEIN: FILTHY RICH, a four-part docuseries which arrives later this month. Directed by Lisa Bryant and produced by Joe Berlinger (director of the PARADISE LOST trilogy) and famed crime writer James Patterson (who co-wrote the book this doc is apparently based on), this one's probably gonna be a rough, frustrating watch. For one thing, Epstein's crimes were utterly reprehensible. For another, his extravagant wealth allowed him to more-or-less get away with it for far longer than he should've.

"Leading up to his 2019 arrest, mysterious tycoon Jeffrey Epstein was accused of abusing women and underage girls for decades, assembling a network of enablers to help carry out and cover up his crimes. The serial sex abuser made a secret plea deal with the government in 2008 avoiding a potential life sentence and continued to abuse women.
