Very Spoilery RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Comic Con Teaser

When I was watching this footage in Hall H at Comic Con I wasn’t entirely sure why Fox was showing it; this is all business from the third act of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and it is massively spoilery - especially the last bit. It feels like this clip reel is showing you ALL the highlights of the finale, although I’m hoping there are more surprises.

By the way, the footage looks very different on your computer screen than it did on the big screen. This is always the way with CGI stuff. Even still, the FX here are incredible; yes, the apes aren’t exactly ‘photoreal’ but they’re miles ahead of almost anything else. Doing performance capture CG with Navi or monsters is one  thing, doing it with an animal that we’re used to seeing is another. This film feels like a milestone to me, FX-wise.
